Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school when her parents split up to move in Los Angeles to live with her mother. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first role as Rachel's Room's main character the video on-demand series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The role she played as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the main actress in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace has worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move into film. In 2007, she starred as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. Her role was reprised in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two more episodes. This included the series final. In 2013 she appears in the sixth season of Californication. The character she plays is Faith, who is the muse and fan of the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal clan and the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in the films of her father when he was an adolescent. Together with her brother she also appeared as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romance comedy Secretary (2002). The two films received acclaim from critics. In the wake of several successful commercial films such as World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). After her successful performance as a single mother of Crazy Heart (2009), she received the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. After that she was able to star in comedies along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and Will Not Back Down (12). Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she has also appeared in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles were the protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her professional career as a screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021 when she directed and wrote The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter.
